There's a great John Oliver episode on our nuclear launch sites and how they still use ancient floppy discs, the big ones, and have extremely rudimentary systems in other areas, plus a lot of the staff do poorly on their proficiency reports :/
Idk about the plants but wouldn't be surprised if it was also kind of lackluster
Our infrastructure & power systems haven't been updated for generations, just constant deadlock from super PACs, corporate interests and extremely polarizing douchebags in charge blocking anyone from doing anything..whether it's the PC police or alt right bible thumpers pushing archaic values, nobodies focusing on our electrical infrastructure, roads, bridges, it's all decaying pretty damn fast

It's unfortunate because this was a parody, (of the communists/socialists types) obviously and most regular anarchists are not like this. The point I think was to say that even after you overthrow the government, you still need a market economy to get people to do the things that are required for society to function. i.g. Does anyone else remember a skit where they do a similar thing to this? I thought it was WKUK, but maybe it was Key and Peele or some other comedy group. They basically take over something I think it was like the Occupy Wallstreet movement, and then they start planning how restructure the world and basically they make a government and police source and an economy and each time they do they say something like "we need a group of people who we vote for that can make the rules for everyone" and one guy goes, You mean like a government? and they all go no, no not a government. Been dying to find that one because it is crazy how much it mirrors reality right now.

To think technology, trade ect would go away because too much freedom is a bit off, like communism anarchy i think is a umbrella term used to reenforce the political paths they want us on. Mean do we lean more towards freedom or slavery? And if they legalized murder tomorrow would that make any of your favorite products magically go away? (Id assume if profitable people would still produce shit, not everyone wants to risk their life ) Mean technically people have the ability to already and choose not to, so legal or illegal what stops anything? Its like how door locks keeps the honest man honest, so if anything keeps the weakminded from rising up outa fear of punishment, and allows mob mentality to punish those without fear, thus breeding a weakend slave class over time. Mean u dont kill the shopkeeper cuz its bad for future business, dont need rules to enforce that, youd be hurting yourselves, but to say ppl need to be ruled or organized in a certain manner is odd, governments, religions ect no diff than parents trying to prevent the kids from taking their spot, human condition i guess, those who were willing to risk their lives to gain control gained it, and convinced others its not worth it lol kinda why were past the whole warlords thing, they already won. So yeah idk where you got from what anarchy supposedly means, probably tiwtter, but that aint it chief, anarchy is literally about the absence of rules and a society with "(self) rule and regulation", thats why even though those words are extremely vague, every halfway functioning "society" in human history had those and was the opposite of anarchy, it's what makes them a society.
Also this skit greatly showcases how this whole " society on the basis of voluntary cooperation" idea is absolute doghsit and just proves one hasnt thought about it for more than one whole second, because a society will need specialists, like nuclear powerplant guy, whose time/work somehow has to be compensated, and then the helpers and the compensaters need to be compensated for their work otherwise they will just starve etc.

Awobbie. I don't think you quite grasp the concept of anarchy. It's not the absence of rules. It's the absence of illegitimate authority (or more specifically it's the ability to question and decide if it's legitimate or not). Man's "selfish and wicked nature", some would say, is a systematically reinforced social construct. In other words, what really is human nature? We might not actually know. We know what it is under our current conditions of the system in which we live, but what would it be like under different circumstances? There's a little more to it than what one, glancing at it, might think.

Or, do you think laws stopped drug addicts from doing the substance they want? Absolutely not.
So, it is in my belief, that the only things holding people back from being nutcase, is, good morals, empathy, maturity, awareness of the consequences of your actions, and overall the most important: self control!
If ppl will fall into chaos without a central authority, that's quite sad. And would go to say that we are heathens without a collectivist-statist government ... I think that gives the government too much credit, and us too little credit. The government isn't stopping me from being chaotic or bad or violent (for example.) I am preventing it: self control! Anarchy is impossible. An idea completely detatched from reality. Even families have hierarchy. Unions have hierarchy. Communes have hierarchy. The family dinner table has a hierarchy. Animals have hierarchical systems. Democracy, communism, capitalism, libertarianism, and any other idea you can possibly fathom. All end up hierarchical 100% of the time without exception. There is no example of anarchy functioning for more than a very short period of time before something fills the power vacuum.
Hierarchy is innate to all things. Even nature itself. This sketch is a pretty good illustration of how hierarchies inevitably form.

Don't know if you actually care anymore but anarchy and anarchism as a political movement are very different. Anarchists advocate for the abolishment of unjustifiable hierarchies, not all hierarchies. Direct democracy is the leading feature of anarchism. This skit is just making fun of people who call themselves anarchists with no clue about the historical and theoretical concepts behind the movement. But it's a funny skit! Love WKUK.

Anarchists don't disagree with a division of labour - we just think factories etc. should be publically owned. Anarcho-Communists (the most popular type of anarchism, and the type this video seems to be satirizing - not that the writers of the sketch seem to have bothered to look into what anarchists believe) literally just want a stateless society where the proletariat has communal ownership of the means of production.

This is funny, I guess but like it’s not what anarchism is technically ancient Greek for without higher Ries or rulers, but there’s still like justifiable reasons why you should have experts that know how to do stuff do stuff and any reasonable informed anarchist would expect there to be some form of expertise in different positions with horizontal hierarchies as long as they’re justifiable. And it would still be anarchism.
