IMPORTANT MESSAGE: URGENT REQUEST FOR SUPPORT FOR THE CHANNEL FANS BEFORE HAVING TO PUT AN END TO THE PROJECT!
We have been striving to work on this channel (5 Minutes), producing high quality content that is also concise in as little as Minutes. We thought that this could be interesting to learn curated information in a very short period of time, especially given the quick pace of today's world.
However, unfortunately, after 1 year of consistent and patient work and regular posting of at least 1 video every 2 weeks, we have been disappointed to see that the channel has not really taken off on RUclips. With Less than 1,000 subs and as little as 300 views per video, we see no other choice but having to halt and put an end to this project we really loved and enjoyed!
We involved different RUclips experts to help us propagate the knowledge offered by this channel but the results have been modest. We understood that such low traction so far may be due to changes done by RUclips on its ranking algorithms to compete with platforms such as TikTok in entertainment videos (dance, music, fun, cooking, sports...).
Although this is a hypothesis and is definitely not verified, we are unable to pursue this project for more than this past year given that it didn't really achieve its number 1 goal, which was reaching as much people as possible around the world and disseminating knowledge in a compelling way.
We will still be publishing our last 3-4 videos over the next couple months.
We are writing this to ask for your support in case there is anything you can do, such as sharing, liking, posting on other platforms, or contributing to our Patreon page (www.patreon.com/5_minutes).
If not, then no worries, we thank you very much for liking our content and for following it!
All the best!
Everything you said is a lie
This is the first time I've watched your channel and I loved it. That's a bummer it's not taking off, but I'll watch and like your videos and hopefully it will take off eventually. I think I'm going to send my dad this one because he has no idea about any of this
God, the Lord Jesus Christ loves you! Restore your relationship with God by repenting of your sins and putting your faith in Jesus Christ, "... that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures..." Hellenistic Judaism refers to the fusion of Jewish and Greek culture and ideas that occurred during the Hellenistic period, which followed the conquests of Alexander the Great in the 4th century BCE and continued for several centuries thereafter. This period had a significant impact on Jewish thought, culture, and religious practice. Here are some key aspects of Hellenistic Judaism:
1. Cultural Influence: The spread of Greek culture throughout the Eastern Mediterranean, including the lands where Jewish communities lived, led to the adoption of Greek language, customs, and values among some Jews. This cultural influence is often referred to as Hellenization.
2. Translation of the Hebrew Bible: One of the most notable developments of Hellenistic Judaism was the translation of the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament) into Greek. This translation, known as the Septuagint, allowed Greek-speaking Jews and non-Jews to access Jewish scripture and played a significant role in the dissemination of Jewish religious ideas.
3. Philosophical Syncretism: Some Jewish thinkers during this period sought to reconcile Jewish religious beliefs with Greek philosophy. Philo of Alexandria, a prominent philosopher of this era, attempted to blend Jewish theology with Greek philosophy, particularly the teachings of Plato and Stoicism.
4. Diaspora Communities: As Jewish communities spread throughout the Hellenistic world, they faced the challenge of maintaining their religious and cultural identity amidst the dominant Greek culture. Synagogues became important centers of Jewish life and worship.
5. Religious Resistance: Not all Jews embraced Hellenistic culture and ideas. Some resisted Hellenization and clung to traditional Jewish practices and beliefs. The Maccabean Revolt (circa 167-160 BCE) is a notable example of such resistance, resulting in the establishment of an independent Jewish state for a period.
6. Ethical and Moral Philosophy: Hellenistic Judaism also saw the development of ethical and moral philosophy within the Jewish tradition. Jewish thinkers explored questions of ethics, virtue, and the purpose of life in a Hellenistic context.
Hellenistic Judaism was a complex and dynamic period in Jewish history, marked by a diversity of responses to Greek culture and ideas. While some Jews embraced aspects of Hellenization, others resisted it, and the tension between Jewish tradition and Hellenistic influence continued to shape Jewish thought and identity for centuries to come.
The Greek conquest of Palestine was after the Parsian Cyrus conquest that built the Solomon kingdom which was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar who took Jews to Babylon. The last conquest was the Roman empire that lasted with the Muslim take over Palestine 631 AD.
chatGPT ass response
Respectfully, your dancing around a lot of context. While some Jews were willingly adopting Greek culture, many were being wrongfully forced to adopt it and not allowed to keep the Torah and its commandments without consequences of imprisonment, torture, execution, confiscation of property, exile, public humiliation, the list goes on. Brit mila, keeping Shabbat, we’re made illegal. We were forced to eat non kosher foods and to commit idolatry to the Greek idols in our own temple which had been defiled by the invading Syrian Greeks. (Syrians who adopted Hellenistic Greek culture and invaded Israel and forced it’s culture on the people of israel). We had to learn Torah in secret. Look into the origins of a dreidel.
This was a very bad period for the Jews. Not as nice as you make it sound.
1:37 So the Iranians actually helped Jewish people by letting them return to Judah, which lead to building of the 2nd temple.
3:40 And Musilm & Jews lived relatively peacefully during 9 ~ 13 century.
Also, under Ottoman empire Musilm & Jews lived relatively peacefully, between 16th to 19th century.
So it seems that Britain messed things up really badly, for tthe 20th century.
They did indeed, for MANY nations and peoples. I am from Ireland and can nearly guarantee that Britain AND France will never admit to the utter madness they created when they created the "state of Israel".
The HOLOCAUST and the endless POGROMS were a EUROPEAN manifestation of hatred and antisemitism.
Europe created a cultural and geographical disaster by transporting hundreds of thousands of EUROPEAN Jews directly into the Middle East, thereby disposessing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their native land.
The United States, with 5 MILLION Jews, is now just as complicit as Britain and France in the present day GENOCIDE we are seeing in Gaza.
Britain always shoves their butt into everything and turn it into sh*t!!
Not only that but Christians and Muslims lived peacefully together as well. In 1947 the population of Palestine was approximately 10% Christian, 85% Muslim, 5% Jewish.
Ironically, even the 75,000 Christians were removed, with full support of Christian nations, for Jewish settlers.
It may be the only time in history where a religion removed its own followers for others, and ignored th irony of it all.
Israel is about 1.9% Christian now, the least Christian nation in the free world.
Quran and Muslim tradition have mixed attitude towards the jews , prophet Mohammed erased three Jewish tribes from Madina , committing horrible acts upon them , also Quran calls them names 😳

Religion, in general, is a scam.
The world's oldest monotheistic religion is generally considered to be Zoroastrianism. It was founded by the prophet Zoroaster (or Zarathustra) in ancient Persia (modern-day Iran) around the 6th century BCE, though some scholars suggest it could have originated as far back as 1200 BCE. Zoroastrianism centers on the worship of Ahura Mazda, the supreme god, and emphasizes the cosmic battle between good and evil.
Zoroastrianism had a significant influence on other major monotheistic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, particularly in concepts like the struggle between good and evil, heaven and hell, and the final judgment. Despite being one of the earliest religions to advocate belief in a single, all-powerful deity, it is much less practiced today, with its followers primarily concentrated in Iran and India (where they are known as Parsis).
Judaism, while older evolved into a monotheistic religion after Zoroastrianism was established.
Monotheism was invented in Egypt in 1367 B.C. when Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (later) Akhenaton, he declared that Aton had replaced Amon and all other gods, effectively creating the world's first monotheism (And Moses was probably an Aton priest).
However his son King Tutankhaton (Tutankhame), reverted back to the old polytheistic religion. Horemheb, a later king, completely rejected Akhenaton's religious beliefs.
During WWII, natives of South Pacific islands saw American and Japanese fighter planes flying in the sky as gods. Only when the Americans landed did the natives realize the flying machines were not gods. Think about it.
Don’t have to think about it. There is no ‘God’. Biggest fabrication of mankind!
Didn't the natives worship the American pilots as (white) gods, like what had happened when Captain Cook first explored the Pacific?
So what are you implying here?
@rivertonhigh-v4t well they thought the first white man was a god...but then after a while of sitting down with them and they followed him into the nearby bush to find out that he also piss and shits and that's when they concluded that he was just a mere human just like them and so the next guy didn't put up much of a scene...

FYI: Zoroastrianism, older than Judaism, was the first monotheistic religion.
Each of the major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism) were born of violence and war. In actuality, each of their ancient or old proprietary foundational tribalist books (the Jewish Bible, the New Testament, the Quran, the Book of Mormon) represent political manifestos to form a moral fabric and trust for trade, and claims for real estate, back in the days when life was nasty, brutal and short and nights were long, dark and scary.
It's time to cast off the mythological stories, magical thinking, obsessive ritual, organized superstition, institutionalized intolerance and tribalist revanchism.
The oldest recorded monotheistic tradition is actually Egyptian and probably came into being before zoroastrianism
Also zoroastrianism wasn't really completely monotheistic like say Judaism .
I agree with you. So much blood spilled in the name of God

The Jews carried their culture with them however and were not directly tied to a specific area.

Judaism is not the world’s oldest monotheistic religion. Zoroastrianism is older. Akhenaten had a monotheistic religion in Egypt. This channel is full of it
Zoroastrianism, as founded by Zoroaster, likely emerged in the 6th or 7th century BCE, while the roots of Judaism trace back further, possibly to the 12th century BCE or earlier.
Unless you were there, don't make ridiculous claims.
How do you know Zoroastrianism is older?
Zoroaster, also known as Zarathustra, was an ancient Iranian prophet and the founder of “Zoroastrianism.”
He is believed to have lived sometime between the 7th and 6th centuries BCE (501-700 BCE),
though some scholars suggest he may have lived as early as the second millennium BCE13 (1300-1201 BCE).
Zoroaster’s teachings challenged the existing religious practices of his time and introduced the concept of a single god (Monotheism), Ahura Mazda, representing truth and light.
Abraham (Abram) was born in 1960 B.C. and is the father of the Jewish religion. His forefathers were from southern Mesopotamia (in present-day Iraq).
According to the biblical narrative, their deity, Yahweh, led Abraham on a journey to the land of Canaan, which he promised to his children.
The oldest monotheistic religion is Zoroastrianism.

There is a theory that many people were eating pork which carries disease more readily than other animals. We know Jews do not eat pork.
Hahaah sorry I’m not reading at your comment because it makes totally sense. I’m just smiling cause Jews say they are the people of God but never explained why they were so much hated, ok so probably Christians said Jews killed Jesus, ( one theory although I am not sure about Jesus either but anyway) and this is one idea. Another one they say is that Jews have always handled money. They have always been known to be moneylenders so not really loved for this and this makes them greedy and sinners at the eye of God. So, in substance they are not loved by God but they say they are the People of God. I mean a total mess and nonsense
For a five minute introduction isn't bad,but hopefully the audience is encouraged to do further research to this and other complex issues linked to Judaism and the history of both religious Jews and non religious ethnic "Jews "
Zoroastrianism is the oldest known monotheistic religion not Judaism. The start of your video is very misleading.
I’m not sure but I don’t think Jesus was practicing Christian Jewry , he was teaching Judaism. I think the term Christian came many years after his death.

Zoroastrianism is considered the world's oldest monotheistic religion, founded by the prophet Zoroaster as early as the middle of the second millennium BCE. Zoroastrians believe in Ahura Mazda as the one supreme God, the "Maker of All". Zoroastrianism influenced other belief systems, such as Second Temple Judaism, which in turn influenced later monotheistic religions.
As I understand it , Zoroastrianism was the first monotheistic religion.

Zoroastrianism is actually the world's oldest monotheistic religion and the religion that judaism is based on.
Who says to both the oldest and what anything is based on? Iran is a bloody long way for stupid and ignorant people from the Levant to travel on foot, it's likely they had no horses to ride there. And why is Zoroastrianism practically dead? How about Akhenaten, he tried, and failed.
It is a race or religion? It says 36 times in the Torah that I can convert to Judaism. However,
I cannot find any corresponding literature describing how I convert to being Afro-Caribbean or even a Semite (it didn’t take too long).
It's not a race, it's an ethnorelgion both ethnicity and faith. And while we often conflate race and genetics with ethnicity they aren't the same thing, though rare you CAN shift ethnicity, usually it's a group over time but one of the few anthropologically recognized ways for an individual to change or gain ethnicity is in fact joining an ethnorelgion.
this video is 6 mins but i like it longer anyway
Something something she said
Jew, Jewish.-Some people would insist that the word must mean either a race
or a religion. It can refer to the race that were the tribe of Judah. It can also
refer to those who practice Judiasm. The word has been used to designate
both a race and a religion, but today it can not be limited by common usage
to either one for several reasons. Today, the "Jewish people" are not "a single
race" nor are they "a single religion." The Jewish people range from being
atheists, humanists, satanists, orthodox Talmudic followers, to Torah following
Karaites, to upright God fearing messianic men and women. The Jewish
Encyclopedia uses the term Jew to mean both those who follow Judaism
and those who are merely genetically descended from those who followed
Judaism at some time
You can't be serious taking a fictional book as a basis for explaining history. At least back it up with arkeological and third party evidence, as opposed to taking it face value.
I think the same. When they say Bible Torah or Quran or any religious book I never believe it. I mean there is no historical evidence but just mere writings of fictional stories written by someone in a certain historical and political context
@@rozetalami6289 That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Have you read any of the these books? There are gobs of historically verified truths in the Bible. To just write something off because you don't like the religious content makes you look like an idiot.
Ah, spoken through the true willful ignorance of modern atheism!
Meanwhile, secular historians and archaeologists are ever finding more and more evidence that people and events described in the corpus of literature that we now know is the Bible at least have their basis in actual history. You don't have to believe any religious claims to admit this but you do have to approach the scholarship honestly and open up your closed mind.

2:43 Paul opened Christianity to non-Jews. He did not think he was creating a new religion.
Very interesting peace of history.

I’ve always wondered what is the REAL history of the origin of the Hebrew people, which included the Kingdom of Israel (or the “lost 10 tribes”) and Judah. Obviously, the Jewish Scriptures can’t be relied upon as a historical source because it mostly contains ancient myths and legends, with some historical facts. There are different theories as to the actual origin of Judaism, and the one that makes more sense to me is that they were the Hyksos, a group of people who ruled Egypt for a period of time, and then they were expelled, and eventually settled in Canaan. Other than that the origin of the Jews remains a mystery because there are scattered archaeological, and historical evidences.
History and archeology suggests that the israelites have emerged from the canaanites and diverged from them on the basis of religion.
From what I know, the Hyksos (or some of them/a large chunk of them) were themselves canaanites, so I guess you could be right.
I personally think it might explain specifically the origins of what later became the tribe of Levi, that is the main tribe of the exodus story (Moses, Aaron, and Myriam, were of the tribe of levi.)
The rest of the tribes may have never left the land of israel/canaan, and were later joined by the tribe of levi.
Speaking from an entirely secular point of view.
My brother, in the diaspora a lot of Jews came to Mexico, Cuba, Santo Domingo, and Puerto Rico. They where the one who had the money, to pay for costly trip.
I want to know about them. They have the knowledge of the first books. I believe in these people
Judaism is not the oldest monotheistic religion, Zoroastrianism is. Enough propaganda! Most of the stories of the Old Testament were versions of the Babylonian stories.
I thought Zoroastrianism was founded in the 6th century BC.
@@HK007Filmworks it is much older than Judaism which is not codified as a religion until Moses delivers the Torah. Judaism at this point is practicing some form of Egyptian rituals.
To be fair, Islam might be the worlds oldest religion considering Muslims consider Adam the first Muslim

This is the 4th video i have watched today where nobody actually explains the real origin of Judaism, but more of Jews early history.
We want to know how it started, who gathered the texts? Who wrote them? What time are they from and so on.
I am interested in the history of the people who became Jews -- before the time of Abram!
The world was made up of many small tribes in that time
There’s none. . .they all came from Abraham, Isaac then Jacob who’s name was changed to Israel by God the Creator King.
Further research has revealed the Jews were part of the larger Canaanite Civilization.
There has always been monotheism from the beginning starting with Adam. Polytheism started shortly after and both existed throughout history.
Only reason Judaism survived this long is cause of reveleance of its text with christianity and islam. If only there was no christianity and islam, an complete new religion or strict following of paganism it would have died or maybe jews are just very persistant to their text to this day which is also remarkable. I'm a muslim and I love reading about history and wars from old times especially about roman empire, crazy times!!
That’s incredibly disrespectful. I disagree with you entirely
They’re still here because they are Gods fleshly people.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam owes its ideological beginnings in Kemet (Egypt). All the commandments are copied from the laws of Maat. That is the source and the actual history of the Abraham's religions. This history is steeped in fantasy and lacks any true critical historical reference.

Oldest monotheistic religion by many scholars is Zoroastrianism, it may be good to know.

Bye gurl, bye!!

Holy shit, a lot of great info in 5 minutes!
Seriously, aye
A lot of info in 5 minutes. As far as the info being ‘great’……that’s debatable…
Wrong. Hinduism is the oldest, it is also monotheistic at its core. Stop looking at the world thru the Abrahamic lens, and may be you will get enlightened.
I don't think u are correct it Zoroastrianism.
What are your basis
How about origins!?
Abraham was born in Ur in Sumeria (Southern Iraq) around 2000 BCE and trekked his way along the Fertile Crescent to Canaan (Israel & Palestine). Many Old Testament fables are based directly on much older Sumerian texts.
That isn't what the scholars say.
@@blusheep2 I didn’t mean the entire Old Testament. The Book of Genesis and the Sumerian tablets.
@@RamZar50 I'm referring to the same thing you say. Most scholars today believe that all the ancient Mesopotamian creation stories stem from an even older oral tradition. The Bible doesn't borrow from the Sumerian kings list anymore then the Sumerian kings list borrows from the Bible. They are both borrowing from an ancient oral tradition. Therefore, scholars see Genesis as a polemic, not a borrowing, of these ancient texts.
People often think about the similarities of theses stories, of which there are some. They rarely notice the differences. The old stories of Genesis are vastly different then these other stories and the Gilgamesh story which the Bible is said to be derived from actually predates the flood story in the Gilgamesh epic. There are 5 copies of Gilgamesh spread over hundreds of years. Only the last copy has a flood story in it and that copy post-dates the Genesis flood account so it might be that it borrowed from the Bible but even there, the Epic is said by scholars to be connected, linguistically, to the Atrahasis and not the Bible.
So no mention and pictures of the Jews in Lachish? Coincidence or intentional?
Great video! Very succinct
Zoroastrianism is the oldest monotheistic religion.
Hindu
How to explain the similarities between the Old Testament and the ancient Mesopotamian myths?
You can probably thank the Babylonian captivity for that.
Jews have probably absorbed some ancient mesopotamian myhts when they were in exile in babylon.
Zoroastrianism is the world's oldest monotheistic religion. Not Judaism.
How can people still believe in religion after knowing about the whole history of their religion 😂
Yeah it's kinda silly 😂
Yeah right. I think is more a community commodity that gives the people a sense of belonging to a certain group but that of course causes friction with other groups that have other beliefs. But is totally nonsense to me because I always think all this beliefs were not there when humanity itself was created. So is all a well built story to divide humans and create wars. Unfortunately 😢
How can they not..?
Because people are dumb on average.

Why don't you look at Mizrahi Jews or Yemenite Jews, there are many Diaspora groups of Jews.
Two reasons:
1. The Khazar convertion
2. Convertion of local European women as a result of lack of Jewish women in the European Jewish communities.

The Israelis often quote the bible that God gave the land of Israel to them as justification for what they are doing in Gaza to which I say: Regarding this video: ruclips.net/video/zhEmFPJLrMo/видео.html Archbishop Jonathan Blake, he speaks well and he's only trying for peace which is a noble cause. But at one point he shoots himself in the foot. Check out timeline 1:17 on the video he says that God and the bible are inanimate, (ie. not living.) Now you would believe that if you were an atheist,
but as a bishop I would have thought he would have believed in a living God.
Maybe he's lost his faith.
I believe what it says in the Bible, and it says in the Bible that God sold Israel to the Jews. Possibly the British Balfour Declaration of 1917 was based on this. I also believe that God can change his mind (he's not inanimate) if you read the Old testament you will see that he's doing that all the time, and judging his people harshly when they do wrong. It's obvious that they have done wrong with the genocide in Gaza. I think that by changing the borders of Israel and grabbing Palestinian land they've betrayed that trust that God has in them. We will see if He will judge them harshly for this? Because you have been given something, that does not mean it can't be taken away. (ie. freedom taken away
from someone who is put in prison.) Because of their actions and their attitude God will take back the land of Israel from them.
